- The MAC layers on channel 1 only see noise, and don't recognize traffic on channel 2
- running iperf receiving noise via Ethernet on the 802.11G machine does not affect performance
- send-side performance reports are similar to receive side performance
- no interference from other 2.4Ghz devices
- 60 second run times with 30 seconds of noise generation are enough to
minimize the effect any random nonrecurring external noise sources
- noise generation via UDP transmissions is repeatable
- 1Mbps of UDP traffic on channel 2 takes approximately 10% of the
available airtime available from the wireless-G card on channel 1
