IBM p655 cluster from our third IBM SUR grant
In our third Shared University Research (SUR) grant IBM granted 3 pSeries 655 nodes along with the required supporting infrastructure. It is a joint venture of the ISU Department of Chemistry, the Ames Laboratory Scalable Computing Laboratory and IBM. The primary purposes of the cluster are the development of high-performance network attached storage systems and the use of Infiniband as a high-performance interconnect under PPC64 Linux. In add.
