Welcome to the information source for the IBM pSeries cluster
This cluster of quad processor Power3-II workstations is made possible via a Shared University Research (SUR) grant from IBM to Iowa State University as well as a grants from the USDOE MICS program and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. It is a joint venture of the ISU Department of Chemistry and the Ames Laboratory Scalable Computing Laboratory. The primary purposes of the cluster are to develop efficient methods for performing parallel computations on state-of-the-art clusters, and to apply these methods to grand challenge problems in chemistry and related fields.
